About Volunteer For Good

Volunteer For Good was formed for those who need everything from a little bit to a great deal of help to find the right volunteer opportunity for them. After reading Giving from Your Heart, many readers will feel comfortable in quickly pursuing a volunteer connection. It occurred to the authors that not everyone will feel this way, yet they may care deeply about wanting to volunteer. While there are many nonprofit clearinghouses and Web sites that can help to make the connection, some people will want to address questions and concerns specific to their personal situations. Mission Statement:

Our mission is to educate, inspire and assist in connecting people with volunteering.

Vision Statement:

Volunteering will help to change the face of America in addressing societal and environmental needs that only caring and concerned individuals acting together can do. Volunteers will be personally transformed by the giving of their time and talents and we will be a more civil society as a result.

Millions of people who do not currently volunteer will make this a part of their lives.  They will, in turn inspire their family and friends to do the same. Millions of those who already volunteer will rededicate themselves to volunteer activity and will move from episodic to more long-term volunteer commitment.

Volunteering will be an integral part in the lives of Americans. It will be a part of the school curriculum at all levels as well as part of the workplace through corporate volunteer programs. 

Volunteering will not necessarily stop due to age or most illness but will take on different form as each individual’s situation dictates.
